The roles:
Trainee CNC Metal Cutting Operator**
** applicants must be resident NZ citizens
If you are looking for a qualification in the metal cutting industry that will create a future for you then this could be the right position for you. This is an entry level role that requires no experience but you do need to be fit and energetic. OSCS has developed an in house training scheme that will see you graduate to be an experienced CNC Metal Cutting Operator.
You will be trained in the following areas;
- Materials and handling
- Dispatch
- Finishing/ tapping/ countersinking
- CNC machine operation
- Nesting
- Computer Aided Design
The trainee programme will take between 2 and 3 years to complete and at the completion of your training you will be awarded an OSCS CNC Metal Cutting Operator Certificate of Competency.
CNC Metal Cutting Operator
If you have previous experience in operating CNC machine in the metal cutting industry then this is the role for you. OSCS continually invests in the latest technology so the opportunity to learn the latest state of art equipment is offered. Experience in Laser Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Water Cutting, Tube Cutting is required.
CNC Press Brake Operator
If you have previous experience in operating CNC press brakes then this is the role for you. OSCS continually invests in the latest technology so the opportunity to learn the latest state of art equipment is there. Experience in LVD, Amada and Trumpf Press Brakes is an advantage.
Part Filing/ Nesting/ CAD
Experience in these areas is essential. If you have experience and can work within a dynamic team then this role would suit you.
